Helmut Lang Autumn/Winter 2012

 Inspired by the Russian vampire film 'Night Watchers' the husband and wife duo Nicole and Micheal Colovos of Helmut Lang presented a collection consisting primarily of black tailored garments. Asymmetrical  black leather jackets, were paired with dark denim jeans and a pair of killer thigh high boots, which enhanced the overall power of the look and the woman wearing it. As the collection moved forward models presented looks that had oxblood splattered prints and oversized chunky scarves which seemed to be being used as Armour and protection. The clothes to me represented power and the art of seduction, which referenced back to the inspiration of collection, Vampires, as they are known of course for thier power and ability to seduce/dominate this collection perfectly perceives those traits.
